Graduation Declaration and Degree AuditsDeadline to Declare for both undergraduates and graduates: FOR DECEMBER 2009: You must file by Novemeber 6, 2009 FOR JUNE 2010: You must file by February 12, 2010 FOR AUGUST 2010: You must file by March 5, 2010 Students who file after the deadline may not be listed in the commencement program and/or may experience other delays. Students who declare late may be asked to file for a future graduation date.
UNDERGRADUATES: All graduating undergraduate must declare their intent to graduate. Undergraduates must declare their intent by applying on-line through the WISER system. To Apply for Graduation: 1.You must apply through the Wiser Self-Service. Once logged in, navigate to Learner Services, Academics, Apply for Graduation. 2. Click on the program you plan to graduate in and it will bring you to another screen. 3. From the drop down menu select the term of your graduation. PLEASE NOTE: FALL=DECEMBER; SPRING=MAY/JUNE AND SUMMER =AUGUST. Click continue. 3. On the next screen select submit and if you are eligible to apply you will receive a message that you have successfully applied for graduation. (if you are not eligible to apply it will let you know and you will have to rectify the problem) 4. Please print a copy of the confirmation for you records. (print from a computer that will print the date on form Your next step is to: Submit Your Diploma Name: 1. You must submit how you would like your name on your diploma through Wiser Self-Service. Once logged in, navigate to home and select Personal Portfolio, name section. 2. Select ADD A NEW NAME. 3. Select Degree and put your name the way you would like it to read on your diploma. Remember, your degree name must include both your first and last name as it is listed on your primary name at the university. If for any reason you are unable to submit your name the way you would like please come to the Registrar’s Office.
GRADUATES: Graduate students must print the form for their degree listed below and follow the instructions. (Please note: Doctoral Degrees are not awarded in August.) Degree Audits Degree Audit reports are available through the UMASS Wiser system. You may view and print your audits from your own computer or at one of the many kiosks around campus or at the ONE STOP Service Center, upper level of the campus center. If your degree audit is not accurately showing your courses then you should make an appointment with an advisor in your major. In order for you to graduate your degree audit must show that all course requirements have been completed. If you see a problem on your audit please make an appointment in advance of your graduation date. Note: Degree Audits are not available to students whose original entrance date is prior to Fall 1988 or to students enrolled in the College Of Pubic and Community service. |
